Well getting my camera equipment packed has been a struggle to say the least. Trying to fit 15 kgs of kit ( two ‘pro’ camera bodies, four lenses, two flashguns, batteries, memory cards and a laptop ) into a carry on size bag is tight but I think I’ve done it ! The reason for this packing is that I’m flying out today to photography Emilie & David’s wedding in Rome Italy. The weather forecast in Rome is sunny today, rain Friday (but hot) and sunshine all day on Saturday which is good as this is the day of their wedding. I’m hoping to keep you updated over the weekend including some pictures.
Last year at the Heart FM Wedding Fayre in Brentwood I met Emilie & David who were planning their wedding in Italy. They loved my work and we discussed the option of me travelling out to photograph their wedding. I think they picked up on the fact I was bursting at the seams at such a wonderful opportunity !
I was very fortunate a few years ago to travel to France for a wedding and loved every minute of it and I was excited to book another ‘destination wedding’. Well the good news is they did book and the time has flown by and it’s now this coming weekend. I really enjoy photography and I’m so looking forward to getting ‘stuck in’ and working with the beautiful Mediterranean light, the superb Italian architecture and of course my bride and groom Emilie & David.
Their wedding ceremony is to take place at the Church of Santa Maria and then onto the 16th century Park Hotel Villa Grazioli. This is situated on a hill overlooking the ancient city of Rome, the sea and Tivoli. Photographically I think I’m going to be spoilt for choice. The phrase “like a kid in a candy store” springs to mind !
Looking forward to seeing Emilie & David and meeting their friends and family in Italy.
