Miami/L.A. Ink

Back in October 2008 I photographed Louise and Ian’s wedding and a few months earlier we shot some engagement pictures which were used for their wedding invitations. Ian recently got in touch with me and asked if I could do some family portraits at his home. He told me that in particular he wanted a portrait of his youngest son which would then go on to be used as a reference/guide for a tattoo !
Ian wasn’t talking about just any tattoo either as he is booked in to see celebrity tattoo artist Chris Garver in September who is visiting the U.K on tour. You may be familiar with the name as Chris has been on the Miami Ink series on t.v. This isn’t Ian’s first tattoo by a celebrity tattoo artist as he’s already had one of my photographs (from their engagement session) of Louise tattooed on by none other than Kat Von D herself !
Kat has been on many shows including Miami and L.A.Ink and has quite a following to say the least.
I’ve seen my photography displayed in many sizes, different textures, materials and finishes but, up until now, never on skin and I feel a little chuffed that Kat Von D was the tattooist.
